Android app designed to help internalize piano scales (although may be helpful to non-pianists aswell). It picks a random scale and asks you to tap it on a keyboard. Simple, right?
However, there’s more to it – you may be requested to play a random scale inversion (iow. a different base tone), which emphasizes the actual use of the scales in improvisation.

Background

The idea to create a piano scale trainer app emerged a few years ago, when I was struggling to learn some of the scales. Although I knew of some apps designed to do the same thing, none of them either had a classic piano-like interface, or lacked the random-base-tone feature which made them essentially pointless.
